Buntingford Brewery Boxing Day 3.2 Pirton Herts
lots of fun for all the family – in aid of Pirton’s School Association and Sports and Social Club
One of the best races in the country according to Runners World Forum!

What a nice day ...

Hope you enjoyed yourselves today. We'd really appreciate it if you could leave us feedback. The best way to do that is via the Runners World website.

You need to register on the Runners World site (which is quick), then you can go to our race and leave feedback.

If you're already registered, this link will take you straight there and you can give us a rating.

After a number of years of pretty much the same format, we're wondering if we should ring some changes. What's prompted us to think of this is that we're losing our teenagers. They start out in the U13 and U7 races, then it's a big jump to the main race and they stop running with us.

Also, we find that children don't always want to run the race they "should". We don't really mind, but until now we've said that if you run the Under 7s but you're older than that you're non-competitive.

Also, the run back along Hambridge way is dull. There are much nicer footpaths around the recreation ground, but we'd have to have a longer race if we used them.

So what do you think to having a race "card" as below:

Early Runners (as now)

Walkers (as now)

500m fun run (our current U7, but open to all)

1km fun run (our current U13, but open to all)

2 mile race (a new event, goes outside the rec open to all again, but focus on juniors. Maybe attractive to new runners.)

4 mile race (a new event, replacing the main race)

Let us know what you think of these suggestions when you leave us a rating on the Runners World site.

Results should be up soon - they'll be on www.stuweb.co.uk first, then we'll post a copy here. We have had some problems with people collecting the wrong chip from registration, so we're doing some manual work to fix things.

Photographs are being loaded here:

Will keep you updated on results etc by email and by updates to the website, so keep checking back.

Lost property:

Someone seems to have taken home Kate's black track suit bottoms - if you did, contact me and we'll work out how to get them back to her.

Left behind - one very sweaty blue top and black hat, a pair of very nice black gloves and a black hat with a St. George's Cross wristband tucked in to  it. If these are yours let me know.
